Contradiction Challenge

Hold competing claims in view at once.

Contradiction Challenge trains a neglected but foundational reasoning skill: holding multiple claims in mind long enough to test whether they can all be true at the same time. Many bad arguments survive because people evaluate statements serially rather than relationally.

This mode strengthens internal consistency checking. It is especially useful for users who produce articulate arguments that quietly conflict with themselves under pressure.

This trains

Consistency checking

Detecting incompatibility across multiple claims and identifying which statement breaks the structure.

How a session feels

3 steps, 3–5 minutes. Repeat until the feedback starts shaping your instincts.

  1. 1

    Read the set of claims

You get several statements that feel plausible in isolation.

  2. 2

    Find the contradiction

Your job is to spot which claims cannot jointly hold.

  3. 3

    See the structure

Feedback explains the exact conflict and why it was easy to miss.

Who it's for

  • Debaters, writers, and researchers
  • Users who want tighter argument hygiene
  • Anyone whose thinking gets muddy when variables stack up
