Accessibility Statement

Last updated: April 3, 2026

VaultSpark Studios is committed to making MindFrame accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe cognitive training should be available to all learners regardless of ability, and we are actively working to meet or exceed accessibility standards.

Conformance status

MindFrame aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA — the internationally recognised standard for web accessibility. Our current status is partially conforming: some parts of the platform meet WCAG 2.1 AA, while others are still being improved.

What we've done

As of April 2026 (following our accessibility sprint in Session 30), MindFrame includes:

Keyboard navigation

All modals and dropdowns close on Escape key. Focus management implemented on 5 modal dialogs and DashboardNav.

ARIA roles and labels

Dialog modals have role="dialog", aria-modal="true", and aria-labelledby. 3 close buttons have descriptive aria-labels.

Semantic landmarks

<main> landmark added to analytics, sign-in, pricing, session, and results pages.

Theme contrast

The theme system now prioritises higher-contrast text and clearer card separation across Light, Mist, Dawn, Warm, Dark, and Midnight.

Focus indicators

Visible focus rings on interactive elements using Tailwind focus: utilities.

Screen reader support

Form inputs have associated labels. Error messages are associated with inputs via aria-describedby.

Known limitations

We are aware of the following accessibility gaps and are actively working on them:

Medium

Confidence slider in challenge sessions — the custom range input may not be fully accessible to screen reader users. A keyboard-only workaround (arrow keys) is available.

Medium

Charts in analytics (Cognitive Score Trend Chart, Difficulty Progression Chart) do not yet include accessible text alternatives or data tables.

Low

Some interactive data visualisations in the Cognitive Fingerprint section lack ARIA descriptions.

Low

Reduced-motion preference (prefers-reduced-motion) is not yet fully honoured — some animations may play even when the user prefers reduced motion.

Technologies used

MindFrame is built with:

  • Next.js (React) — semantic HTML5
  • Tailwind CSS — utility-first styling with accessible focus utilities
  • WAI-ARIA attributes for interactive components
  • Progressive Web App (PWA) — installable on iOS and Android

Assistive technology compatibility

MindFrame is designed to be compatible with:

  • NVDA + Chrome (Windows)
  • VoiceOver + Safari (macOS, iOS)
  • TalkBack + Chrome (Android)
  • Keyboard-only navigation (all major browsers)

If you encounter an issue with any assistive technology not listed above, please let us know and we will investigate.

Request accommodations

If you need content in an alternative format, or if you encounter an accessibility barrier that prevents you from using MindFrame, please contact us:

Accessibility contact: accessibility@usemindframe.com
We aim to respond to accessibility requests within 5 business days.

Formal complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility request, you may contact your national disability rights authority or equality body. In the European Union, you may contact your national supervisory authority.

Ongoing commitment

Accessibility is not a one-time checklist — it is an ongoing practice. We are committed to:

  • Including accessibility testing in our development process for new features
  • Addressing reported accessibility issues within 30 days
  • Conducting a full WCAG audit as we approach public launch
  • Pursuing WCAG 2.1 AA full conformance by end of 2026
